CALLS FOR ART

Touch the Sky - Artful Kites & Airborne Curiosities Exhibition - DEADLINE TO ENTER: March 14
Art on Main gallerist, Andrea Lamarsaude and exhibition curator Laurie Mahoney are seeking a diverse group of artists to submit entries of original, handmade kites and airborne curiosities.

  • Accepting entries of original, handmade, lightweight 3D work that can be displayed “aloft” from the gallery ceiling

  • Accepting 2D & 3D work inspired by kites, and/or airborne, windblown curiosities, creative works inspired by themes of flight and movement, that can be displayed on the gallery walls or on pedestals.

  • This call encourages experimentation and exploring metaphorical interpretations of flight and being airborne.

Women in Art - Letting in the Light Exhibition - DEADLINE TO ENTER: March 26
Artists are invited to create works of art (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and ceramics) that represent the show title.

The exhibition is open to women artists of all ages (18 and over), ethnicity, and backgrounds. The participating artist should have had minimal gallery experience

Shelter - A Sense of Place Exhibition - DEADLINE TO ENTER: May 24
Artists are invited to submit works exploring the idea of shelter in all its board range of forms—physical, emotional, and symbolic. From barns and the sheltering sky to kindness and the embrace of community. This exhibit will reflect on what it means to seek refuge, create a home, or find sanctuary in unexpected places.

The HeART of Resilence Exhibition - DEADLINE TO ENTER: September 12
This is a call for artists to submit works for The HeART of Resilience, an exhibition that visually narrates the transformative journey of breast cancer survivors as they reclaim their bodies and identities after surgery.

This exhibition seeks works (painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture and ceramics) that pay tribute to the bravery and determination required to make informed choices, redefine personal attractiveness, and embrace new chapters in life. Through this collective visual exploration, The HeART of Resilience exhibition seeks to create a compelling visual dialogue celebrating empowerment, healing, and the power of resilience.

Whether you are a student excited to share fresh interpretations or an established artist with a visual story to share, your art can create a powerful visual dialogue to inspire viewers.
